Who it is for

Veneers suit front teeth that are:

  • Chipped or worn
  • Discoloured and do not respond to whitening
  • Uneven in shape or size
  • Slightly gapped
  • Healthy, with healthy gums

Good to know

  • A thin layer of enamel is removed, so veneers are usually permanent
  • Grinding your teeth can damage them; a night guard helps
  • Your smile can be previewed first with Digital Smile Designing

Veneer or crown?

  • A veneer covers the front surface only
  • A crown covers the whole tooth
  • A crown is chosen for badly broken or root-canal-treated teeth

What happens, step by step

  1. 1Smile planningDr. Sneha plans the shape and shade, often with Digital Smile Designing.
  2. 2Preparing the teethA very thin layer of enamel is removed from the front of each tooth, numbed if needed.
  3. 3Impression or scanA precise scan or mould is sent to the lab.
  4. 4Temporary veneersTemporaries may protect the teeth while the final veneers are made.
  5. 5Bonding the veneersThe veneers are checked for fit and colour, then bonded in place.

How long it takes

10+ years
typical lifespan with care

Lifespan depends on care, your bite and habits such as grinding.

Is it painful?

Preparing the teeth is done with local anaesthesia where needed, so it is comfortable. Some temporary sensitivity afterwards is common.

Aftercare

  • Brush and floss as usual.
  • Do not bite nails, pens or ice, or use your teeth to open packets.
  • Wear a night guard if you grind your teeth, and a mouthguard for contact sports.
  • Limit tea, coffee and other staining drinks, and come for regular check-ups.

Call the clinic if a veneer feels loose, chips, or your bite feels uneven.

Cost

The cost depends on the number of veneers. Dr. Sneha confirms it after planning, before treatment begins.

Consultation from ₹100. The treatment price is confirmed before anything begins.

Questions about veneers

Are veneers permanent?

Usually, yes. A thin layer of enamel is removed, so the tooth will always need a veneer or similar covering.

How long do veneers last?

Around ten years or more with good care and regular check-ups.

Will they look natural?

Yes. Porcelain veneers are shaped and shaded to suit your face and other teeth.

Do veneers stain?

Porcelain resists stains well, but the edges and your natural teeth can still discolour, so limit staining drinks.

Is there an option with less treatment?

Sometimes. Whitening, bonding or aligners may achieve your goal. Dr. Sneha will explain the choices.
