## Questions about fluoride

**Is fluoride safe for children?**

Yes. Varnish is applied in a tiny amount by a dentist and sets quickly, so very little is swallowed.

**How often should it be done?**

Usually every six months, or more often if Dr. Sneha advises it.

**Does it hurt?**

No. It is painted on in a few minutes.

**Is fluoride toothpaste not enough?**

Toothpaste helps every day. Professional fluoride is stronger and gives extra protection for teeth at higher risk.

**Can adults have fluoride treatment?**

Yes. It helps adults with sensitivity, exposed roots or frequent cavities.
